Lauren Igel Massage Reiki Healing

Lauren

Lauren spent a lot of time as a child with migraines and pain throughout her body. She didn’t want to rely on medicine, so she explored several alternative healing modalities. The one that resonated with her and helped her the most was Massage Therapy. As soon as she was old enough, Lauren went to school for Massage Therapy with the goal of making everyone feel the benefits she did as a child. Lauren is a Colorado native who graduated from the Healing Arts Institute in Fort Collins in 2017. After practicing Massage Therapy for a few years, Lauren recognized the correlation between emotional wellbeing and how we (her clients) were holding emotions in the body. She wanted to explore this further. Lauren received her Reiki Master certification in 2021. Her passion is for natural medicine, promoting wellness, and healing the body by integrating holistic health. Lauren is very intuitive and able to access the issues going on with every client that comes into her healing space immediately. She customizes her sessions to address whatever her clients are presenting. Lauren specializes in combining multiple techniques to address each client's specific needs; whether that is Myofascial Work, Deep Tissue, Relaxing Massage or Energy Work to name a few. Her skill set is multifaceted, and she has over 5000 hours of hands-on experience. In her free time Lauren enjoys being in nature, creating art and sound, attending live music events, and spending time with her dog and friends. Iann Hall Acupuncture Energy Work

Iann

Iann began her acupuncture training in 2010 at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO, completing her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine in 2013.  In addition to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Iann focused her studies Kototama Acupuncture, a traditional Japanese style in the lineage of Nakazono Osensei, that utilizes a powerful yet very gentle needling technique, combined traditional Japanese bodywork, along with treating the Hara with Sakai-Hon-Rei-Teate, a version abdominal handwork handed down from Master Sakai.

Iann’s skill set and experience allow her to productively treat anybody with virtually any condition, as her work is not simply based on symptom alleviation, but also on building up and reinforcing her clients’ own internal energetic resources, so that they may take best care of themselves. Iann knows that stress and spiritual imbalance are part of life and play a significant role in the human health process. And along with addressing symptoms and the underlying energetic patterns and within the body, Iann’s work is focused on all levels of personal health, with a balanced and individualized approach to health care and sustained well-being.

Iann’s experience also includes work and training as a yoga instructor, nutritional and lifestyle counselling, meditation instruction, and ceramic arts, along with local botany and backcountry exploration. Her experience has led her to see that human health is much more than symptom alleviation, and her work is dedicated to empowering her clients’ greater capacities to feel good and become more fully realized in their own lives.

Lily Photo 4.8.24.jpg

Lily

Lily has been practicing Acupuncture for over 15 years internationally. Some of these places include the Philippines, Mexico, Tucson, New York City, and now back to Denver! She specializes by utilizing the mental component of stress relief and grieving by slowing down and communicating the processes of Acupuncture's effect on the Body. As a 2006 Teacher of the Year (AZ School of Oriental Medicine), with a Master's degree from Pacific College in New York and National Board Exam certification, Lily is able to work with all types of pain: physical, emotional, and spiritual, as well as detoxification and ear beads for weight loss. Whether it is arthritis, mobility problems from Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, incontinence, constipation, asthma, headaches, lower back pain or any pain you have, this is how Lily describes acupuncture's role in healing. "There are three ways of looking at the mechanism of how ACUPUNCTURE, yes, the tiny insertion invasion by a foreign object, activates your immune system. First, I will name it The Band-Aid Theory. That's when you have a minor cut, a tiny wound from the insertion of Acupuncture, which fires up your immune response to investigate the Problem Area over hours, days, monitoring invaders, causing blood to circulate to the area of concern. Now, let's say you have elbow pain and the Acupuncturist places needles on your hand. Your immune Band Aid Theory response of getting to the hand has to go THROUGH your ELBOW. This is one theory. Second Theory, I will call the Traffic Cop Theory of Acupuncture. That's when the needles themselves act as traffic cones, lights, signals, and as a traffic cop to redirect the flow till the highway meridians are free and clear. Often, our bodies are used to routines. You have always taken the same route to work, this same thing happens inside our body. Until the Traffic Cop reroutes your movements to get you where you need to go, you remain stuck in a jam. Acupuncture needles act like those Traffic Cops. What's the third way of explaining the mechanics of Acupuncture? Let's call it The Ballerina Theory. This is where, as a child learning their ABCs, it takes months and years to learn to write, memorize shapes, and form alphabet soup into sounds and eventually words. A ballerina, a golfer, etc. has to train her/his/their body REPEATEDLY to move a certain way, until the Body "remembers" how to do that automatically. This is why most Acupuncturists ask you to come back regularly till your body learns to do so automatically. Even then, Ballerinas have to practice movements regularly (maintenance). I hope these three theories open your understanding into what and how Acupuncture is helping you. Here's to your Health! See you soon at Mile High Holistics!"

Loki Service Dog

Loki

Loki is a natural born healer. He is 16 months old and fully trained as a service dog. Unfortunately, (or maybe fortunately). He is trained to open doors and stop an unwanted situation such as a seizure or any other unwanted behavior - which alerts his caretakers to step in and help. Being a Basenji - their natural instinct is to follow the rules 50% of the time, He is stubborn and headstrong. Loki will obey in a crisis situation but in the meantime he wants to do what he wants to do. Loki loves love, he likes greeting everyone that comes to the studio and making them his friend. Loki also enjoys long walks and ball! An aloof, very affectionate dog, the Basenji can be fiercely protective of their families and their friends. While known as a barkless dog, the Basenji does "yodel" and growl, so it is not mute. Basenjis tend to be clever dogs, but not easy to train. They need creative, patient handling to bring out their best qualities. Basenjis are ancient dogs tracing their lineage from pariah dogs to the Egyptians and then to hunting dogs for the tribes in the Congo.

Khan Service Dog

Khan

Khan, the Cane Corso is a large-boned and muscular working dog with a noble, confident disposition and a lineage that goes back to ancient Rome. Cane Corsos are powerful dogs that may seem intimidating to some. These fearless and vigilant dogs are not right for everyone. However, these gentle giants are often misunderstood and can actually make excellent companions. Khan was raised at Mile High Holistics, his parent - Sarah brought him in early as a baby and he has grown with us. He is a "gentle giant", he commands the room but with the biggest and sweetest healing energy. Khan is the best therapist because he will fall asleep and snore during your session. Have you ever listened to Dolphin or Whale sounds while you sleep? Khan can manifest this during your Therapeutic session. Khan is an urban farmer and has chickens, baby goats, a kitty and baby bunnies at home that he loves and is the fearless protector of all of them. He loves hugs, meeting new friends and is always so happy to see everyone that comes to visit us at Mile High Holistics.
